The Flag Guys was founded in 2018, but our story begins nearly a century earlier. Our roots go back to US Flag & Signal, a respected flag manufacturer based in Portsmouth, Virginia, established in 1920. For decades, we proudly supplied high-quality American-made flags to schools, military bases, municipalities, and businesses throughout the region.
Over the years, we noticed a growing need among our customers—not just for flags, but for flagpoles, installations, and full-service solutions. Many of our clients came to us with a simple question: “Can you help us get this flying?” That’s when The Flag Guys was born.
Founded as a natural extension of US Flag & Signal, The Flag Guys was created to meet the demand for flagpole sales, installation, and service. What began as a value-added service for our existing customers quickly evolved into a full-scale operation dedicated to helping people and organizations proudly display their flags.
